Job Description
2. Assisting patients to help them find solutions through changes in their behavioral patterns the exploration of their past experiences or group and family therapy sessions.
3. Conducting psychoanalysis sessions such as longterm psychotherapy and counseling for patients as needed
4. Prescribing medications to patients to correct chemical imbalances that cause emotional problems.
6. If (s)he has completed subspecialty residency training in child psychiatry (s)he will be providing outpatient and inpatient treatment to children and adolescents.
7. Taking afterhours and weekend calls in rotation with other staff Psychiatrists.
8. Responding to consultation requests from other services received either directly or when oncall by offering clinical advice or assuming full responsibility for the mental health care of the patient.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Medicine WESTERN Qualification
- Completion of specialty qualification in the field of Psychiatry as per DHA requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience Post Qualification CCT or CCST or Irish Board or American Board or Canadian board or Australian Board.
