What are we looking for?
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Establish a strong coaching culture within your team, instilling value engagement principles for working with corporations.
- Support the team in achieving goals/sales targets, including complete account qualification to define (at a minimum): number of events, total revenue potential, booking patterns and history, decision-making factors, resources, competition, and event, business, and personal needs.
- Identify, recruit, and assign key talent on the team, and ensure they have what they need to succeed and meet strategic goals.
- Generate business leads for all Hilton hotels and drive focused sales solicitation plans for the distressed, holiday, and need period hotels.
- Facilitate positive relationships with hotels, participating in introductions to clients, conflict resolution, contract negotiation, support of hotels, and closing sales.
- Champion and support effective documentation of customer activity in Salesforce
- To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry
- Luxury travel/hospitality experience in a revenue-generating or commercial role
- Experience leading sales teams
- Significant sales experience in luxury hospitality, including negotiating sales contracts and partnership agreements
- Experience preparing executive-level presentations
- Travel - approximately 40-50% (both domestic and international)
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
- Sales experience within the travel or hospitality industry
- Experience working in all key segments: Luxury Retail Transient, Consortia, Corporate, Wholesale, and Group
- Experience leading a remote sales organization
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft software applications: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Sales Reporting tools (MicroStrategy)
- Knowledge of adult learning theory, education, and/or training
