PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the job of a QAQC Civil Engineer is to ensure that construction projects meet the required quality standards and comply with project specifications codes and regulations. This involves a range of activities focused on both quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop implement and maintain QAQC procedures and guidelines to ensure construction quality and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities materials and workmanship.
- Identify and report any nonconformances or deviations from project specifications and standards.
- Review and approve construction documentation including method statements inspection and test plans and material submittals.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive QAQC documentation including inspection reports test results and quality records.
- Ensure all QAQC records are accurate complete and properly filed.
- Provide regular reports on QAQC activities highlighting key findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with project managers engineers contractors and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
- Communicate QAQC requirements and expectations to the project team and contractors.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on qualityrelated matters.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QAQC roles within the GCC region.
- Strong background in highrise building projects in the middle east.
- Indepth knowledge of QAQC processes standards and best practices in construction.
- Familiarity with construction materials methods and testing procedures.
- Proficient in using QAQC software and tools for documentation and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
