Job Description

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Township Engineer to conduct residential and commercial plan reviews and inspections. The ideal candidate will possess a BCO certification and have a deep understanding of UCC and ICC code regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing building plans and ensuring compliance with UCC/ICC building codes and regulations
  • Issuing permits for construction, demolition, and occupancy
  • Conducting building inspections to ensure construction is done correctly and complies with UCC/ICC codes and regulations
  • Responding to complaints or concerns from the public regarding building safety and code compliance
  • Inspecting public and private properties to enforce zoning regulations and building codes
  • Issuing citations and warnings for violations of regulations and codes
  • Responding to citizen complaints about potential violations and taking appropriate action
  • Working with property owners and businesses to ensure compliance with regulations and codes
  • Maintaining records of inspections, violations, and other enforcement actions

Work Environment:

The role is based onsite at Aston Township building 3 days a week, with flexibility to work in office or remotely for the remaining 2 days.
