What You’ll Do
As the HR Systems Analyst, you’ll:
- Become knowledgeable in Sentry’s HR processes and applications:
- Collaborate with HR departments to understand their business processes and system/reporting needs
- Collaborate with team members and leverage documentation to understand HR systems and workflows
- Apply this knowledge when designing and configuring system enhancements and reports that meet requirements, solve business problems and provide an optimal and easily maintained user experience
- Recommend changes that will enhance or streamline workflow processes and ensure data quality
- Configure and provide administration for Sentry’s HR applications (Workday and others):
- Implement configuration changes and technology solutions in support of business objectives, system change requests and defects
- Coordinate and lead development of solutions for enhancements, upgrades and patches from requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, rollout through post-production validation
- Maintain and ensure ongoing operations of HR systems
- Troubleshoot when errors occur, identify root causes, implement resolutions and provide support to application users
- Build and maintain HR reporting solutions:
- Design, configure, and test operational reports and ensure the accuracy and security of data
- Provide ad hoc information and data analysis requests that present data in a meaningful fashion, which may include extracting and integrating data from various sources
- Identify and interpret patterns in large data sets to provide useful insights into business processes and results to help HR leaders understand and communicate current and potential future trends
- Ensure compliance to data & security governance:
- Ensure confidential and appropriate security and access systems are in place for solutions
- Establish and maintain system data integrity by performing data analysis and audits
What It Takes
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of development/configuration work experience – from requirements through solution development/configuration, testing, implementation and support of technology solutions
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
- Inquisitive with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to HR application and technology changes
- Ability to work independently and lead technology projects with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated positive, customer-service oriented approach to supporting the business
- Experience with Workday and leveraging data visualization tools like Tableau is considered a plus
