About The Role
We are on the lookout for an experienced Procurement Manager - Sourcing, with a solid background in Engineering and Facilities. This role falls under the strategic sourcing team where fluency with running tenders and putting long term contracts in place is necessary.
As the Procurement Manager – Sourcing, you will be responsible for optimising the efficiency of the sourcing department by devising strategic plans which focus on achieving customer satisfaction whilst reducing costs to the business. Duties will include planning, scheduling, initiating, monitoring and quality assurance of all procurement and contract activities. This role requires independent and professional judgment and is performed under the general direction of the Director, Procurement. In this role, is will also be required to achieve the wider business objectives, including a streamlined strategic sourcing procedure across all stakeholders, and will also require an analytical, solution-driven individual, who can adhere to strict deadlines whilst managing multiple priorities simultaneously and is naturally enthusiastic about the luxury hospitality industry. You will also oversee every aspect of the sourcing process and will determine the company's service measures, delivery criteria, and solutions for issues that may arise.
About You
The successful Procurement Manager – Sourcing will have a relevant bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field and have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in successfully managing the strategic sourcing function and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will have previous experience demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be comfortable with tender process and contracts management. In addition to this, you will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to interface effectively with all levels of management.
In this role, you will also have the natural ability to effectively influence through knowledge, relationship management, and trust and have exceptional creative and analytical problem-solving skills with a strong desire to constantly grow and evolve. Experience working within a large-scale hotel or resort would also be preferred.
Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge is also required, and you will have experience with Word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, contract software, ERP, and e-Sourcing. Having prior experience working with suppliers and resources within the UAE market is preferred.
