- Performing laboratory experiments in compliance with established procedures
- Identifying and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and tools in clean, safe and good conditions.
- Following preventive maintenance procedures and notify maintenance personnel on any equipment repairs and malfunctions.
- Generating routine reports on laboratory experiments.
- Conducting laboratory tests according to equipment specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ordering and stocking laboratory supplies and instruments.
- Working with other Technicians to complete laboratory tasks within assigned timelines.
- Developing new laboratory procedures or enhancements to improve test quality and productivity.
- Following proper waste disposal and recycling methodologies.
Required Qualifications And Skills
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or any other related discipline, from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills.
- Experience in working effectively with a diverse student population.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
- Experience with professional accreditation requirements.
