Bar Manager

• Create, inspire, and conceptualize the beverage menus in alignment with the overall direction by the brand and ensure that menus are up to date.
• Ensures that all beverage service standards and sequences of services are being followed and adhered to by the staff.
• Monitors and adjusts the schedules for the staff in close coordination with the General Manager, in order to meet demand and customer service expectations.
• Managing and achieving the budgets that are determined for the beverage department.
• Forecast and keep track of which drinks are most in demand and establish creative techniques and motivate bar team to increase the sales revenue of the bar.
• Ensure that all beverage products served meet the established specifications and standards.
• Ensure implementation of area sanitation standards.
• Review cost increases communicate with supplier to review charges and apply strategies to lower costs when possible.
• Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure that adequate stock and equipment is available before and during service.
• Ensure that all beverage equipment is operated safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems for repair.
• Manage the staff through coaching and training, in order to improve performance and to achieve the department’s objectives and targets
• Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position in a high-volume, resort experience preferred
• Has working knowledge of all aspects of beverage operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Excellent management skills
