Overview Of The Role
The Quality Advisor provides guidance and advice in regard to the effective management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), delivering quality management and improvement support to all projects and Functions within the designated area of responsibility.
The Quality Advisor provides support to the relevant Quality Manager and his/her team in the maintenance and control of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of the Company's overall Quality strategies.
This is a staff-based role in Dubai- UAE
Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities
- Integral in evaluating and addressing supplier quality requirements that are identified in invitations to bid.
- Identifying risk related to Supplier Quality Management, ensuring adequate surveillance is in place and followed through to the completion of interested scope of work.
- Assess Subcontractors and Vendors capability to meet the Quality requirements of the Project.
- Ensure project quality requirements compliance for procurement phase of the project and effective implementation of the project quality management system.
- Coordination, preparation, establishment, and implementation of the Project's Supplier Quality requirements.
- Review of procurement related documents (RFQ, PR, TBE, etc.).
- Arranging Vendor Pre-Inspection Meetings & Kick off Meetings.
- Preparation of audit plan & focus assessment.
- Monitoring Procurement Inspection status.
- Coordinate with COMPANY regarding procurement related activities.
- TPI management for inspection activities at vendor premises.
- Appraises product quality in accordance with the Purchase Orders, Purchase Requisitions, Technical Specifications, drawings and Quality Plans.
- Review of Manufacturing Data book after completion of purchase order.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as per project requirements.
- Identify non-quality trends and advise Supplier Quality Manager and Project Quality Manager for resolution.
- Establish effective corrective, preventive measures, and corrective action plan to ensure that deficiencies do not re-occur.
- Ensure lessons identified and recorded for Internal Quality Failures and Supplier Performance Issues.
- Support cost control team with supporting documentation for invoicing purposes.
Key Qualification And Experience
- Experience of the subsea, offshore or a related industry.
- Broad depth of Quality Management knowledge.
- Good level of general education required, preferably supported by a diploma/degree in Engineering/Quality Management.
- Broad understanding of Subsea products and operations.
- Technical quality experience/capability.
- Good understanding of supply chain management principals.
- Certified lead auditor qualification.
- Willing to travel both domestically/ internationally onshore /offshore up to 30 % of the time.
