Accountant

Responsibilities:

1. Manage daytoday accounting operations related to import/export transactions ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Prepare and review financial statements reports and budgets to provide insights into business performance and financial health.
3. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of import/export documentation including invoices customs declarations and shipping documents.
4. Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or potential risks in financial records and take corrective actions as necessary.
5. Stay uptodate with changes in VAT regulations and ensure compliance with VAT reporting requirements including timely submission of VAT returns and payments.
6. Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
7. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
8. Assist in the implementation of accounting software and systems to enhance accuracy and productivity in financial reporting.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles within the import/export industry with a strong focus on VAT compliance.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
4. Excellent understanding of international trade regulations customs procedures and VAT laws applicable to the UAE.
5. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
