Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive testing of substation equipment and systems including transformers, circuit breakers, relays, protective devices, control systems, and associated components.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols to verify equipment performance, compliance with specifications, and adherence to industry standards.
- Perform functional testing, performance testing, insulation testing, and diagnostic testing using specialized equipment and instrumentation.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and troubleshoot technical problems to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and field technicians to ensure testing activities align with project schedules and objectives.
- Document test procedures, results, and findings in detailed reports and maintain accurate records of testing activities for future reference.
- Participate in commissioning activities and support on-site installation, startup, and integration of substation equipment as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to substation testing and recommend improvements to testing methodologies and practices
