K-12 Project Manager Job Description:

As a K-12 Project Manager in commercial construction, your role is critical in overseeing and coordinating construction projects related to educational facilities. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and school district representatives. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

• Direct and coordinate the construction team, including subcontractors, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to project close-out.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Liaise with external vendors, school district officials, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication channels to ensure project progress and resolve any issues promptly.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, permits, and approvals.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Specific experience with K-12 educational facilities is highly desirable.
