We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Superintendent (PS) to lead, organize, and oversee both field and administrative operations for our projects. In this role, you will offer technical expertise, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, productivity, profitability, and overall work quality, including self-performed tasks. You will set productivity objectives, evaluate performance, manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities, and potentially supervise field superintendents. Project Superintendent I Manages less complex projects up to $20 million with around 3-5 years of experience in the role.
Project Superintendent II Handles medium-scale projects ranging from $20 million to $50 million, requiring approximately 5-10 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Manager to assess shop drawings, submittals, subcontract change orders, and purchase orders.
Work alongside the Project Manager to formulate the project management plan (PMP), encompassing scope, procurement, environment, time, finances, quality, safety, and risk.
Lead weekly coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors, while preparing daily field status reports.
Coordinate documentation of constructability concerns, potential design conflicts, and clarifications with relevant personnel.
Develop and manage the construction plan for successful work execution.
Ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions, driving profitability.
Foster positive relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders for a successful project environment.
Oversee field operations, ensuring project success in terms of safety, schedule, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Maintain and update the original CPM Project Schedule, integrating LEAN processes and Weekly Work Plans.
Identify, prevent, and manage claims, taking timely actions to mitigate their impact.
Provide leadership to project team members and subcontractors, driving relentless project execution.
Develop and implement Project Quality Management and Safety plans, aligning with standards within the project management plan (PMP).
Ensure timely completion of punch lists, facilitating system startup and commissioning as per owner requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements
Possesses strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
Hold a four-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training/experience.
Exhibit comprehensive construction knowledge encompassing technology, equipment, methods, negotiations, engineering, cost control, scheduling, and safety.
Demonstrate relevant project supervision experience in similar facility types.
