Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, project management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP) may be preferred.
Job Description
As a Marine Construction Manager within Oil & Gas site supervision project team, this role will be at the forefront of project management, responsible for monitoring, orchestrating the planning, execution, and successful delivery of project. The role encompasses strategic planning, risk management, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The leadership and experience will be pivotal in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of the project.
Responsibilities
- Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
- Preparation of Method Statements Risk Assessments and construction phase plans/project execution plans for review and approval by Client representatives.
- Plans, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all marine construction activities, technical, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
- Work with management team to develop construction budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project.
- Assists the management to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or schedule delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
- Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
- Some liaison with Shared services personnel for delivery of design, costs, schedules and overall project support
- Establishes regular meetings to review package status and formulate action items.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide leadership and commitment to the Project HSSE and Quality plan.
Years of Experiences
At least 20 years of working experience, with 10 years similar offshore oil and gas projects experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget are preferred.
