Job Description

Fenchurch provides litigation finance to UK SRA approved law firms to fund WIP and disbursements for low value high volume claims. We are seeking an experienced and talented individual responsible for financial planning and analysis forecasting budgeting and internal controls to ensure the financial health of the businesses. You will also manage an accounting team. Our culture is fastpaced and exciting our people are lively industrious and knowledgeable with a collaborative approach to reach our business ambitions. You will report directly to the Directors.

The Role

  • Managing all Finance and Accounting Operations
  • Preparing and publish with assistance of our junior team monthly financial statements including profit and loss statements balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Management and oversight of accounts receivable accounts payable management sales ledger purchase ledger etc.
  • Support monthend and yearend close process
  • Liaise with external auditors for Financial Audit
  • Forecasting future financial performance
  • Preparing financial forecasts for prospective investors
  • Investor portfolio management and reporting
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Intercompany account management
  • Financial Analysis & Reviews of Borrowers
  • Ability to present to key stakeholders and investors
  • Recommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance

You

  • Previous Financial Controller experience required 5 years
  • Experience working for a lending business is helpful however not essential
  • Experience working for UK businesses
  • Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or equivalent)
  • Xero experience essential
  • Experience of controlling the finance function from transactional level
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Dedicated and flexible work attitude towards completion of deliverables
  • Able to demonstrate strong business acumen
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the group
  • Pro active to enhance business performance
