Head of Product Design

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and sales to translate customer needs and market trends into innovative product designs.
• Develop and maintain design standards, processes, and best practices to ensure efficiency, consistency, and excellence in design execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet delivery deadlines and business objectives.
• Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to mitigate potential issues and optimize product performance.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the design team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7-10+ years of experience in design and development roles is a requirement
• A proven track record of success in the commercial kitchen equipment industry is a strict requirement.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower team members, and stakeholders.
• High level of proficiency in design software tools and technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques related to commercial kitchen equipment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality designs that meet customer expectations and industry standards.
