- Weather Forecasting: Analyzing weather data from various sources such as satellites, radar, weather stations, and computer models to predict and forecast weather conditions.
- Climate Analysis: Studying long-term weather patterns, climate trends, and climate change impacts.
- Research: Conducting research to improve forecasting techniques, understand atmospheric phenomena, and develop new methodologies.
- Communication: Communicating weather forecasts, warnings, and information to the public, government agencies, businesses, and other stakeholders through reports, presentations, and media appearances.
- Emergency Response: Providing support during severe weather events, natural disasters, and other emergencies by issuing warnings, advisories, and recommendations.
- Education: Educating the public about weather phenomena, safety measures, and preparedness through outreach programs, educational materials, and public speaking engagements.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies in weather and climate data.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with other meteorologists, scientists, researchers, government agencies, and industry partners to share data, insights, and expertise.
