Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst for a leading IT consulting client in Sydney. Our client is a dynamic and growing consulting firm with a focus on delivering innovative digital solutions to leading banks, ASX-listed companies, and government agencies.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with our clients, including leading banks, ASX-listed companies, and government agencies, to collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of data. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading internal initiatives to develop and improve our data analysis practice.
Some of the key responsibilities are to:
- Lead data analysis projects for clients and provide data-driven solutions
- Work with clients to identify areas for improvement and communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Lead internal initiatives to develop and improve our data analysis practice
- Mentor and train junior data analysts
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data analysis methods and techniques
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in a data analyst role, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques
- Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, R, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
