Project Specialist

Our client one of the world s leading sports resorts is looking for a Project Specialist to join their team based in Abu Dhabi UAE.

The Project Specialist must provide expert assistance in all aspects of project initiation planning implementation and monitoring. He is responsible for ensuring that projects arrive on time within budget within capacity meet quality standards and meet requirements. He must manage the risks throughout the life of the project and minimize their impact to be successful. He is responsible for preparing project documentation and reports which are used to show progress and success.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for managing projects with reference to planning staffing
  
• budgeting preliminary and detailed design construction management commissioning and handover of facilities for ongoing operations.
  
• Take the lead in project design development and refinement of plans schedules budgets and schedules
  
• Development of SOW s (Scope of Work) and WBS for projects
  
• Development of request for tender request for proposal request for quotation
  
• Development of tender evaluation plans and participation in tender evaluations
  
• Manage change requests and scope cost or time variation requests
  
• Supervise and ensure contractor construction methods procedures and practices are properly formulated and relevant
  
• Inspect work and review progress updates including planned schedules and deliverables
  
• Prepare payment recommendations as well as other cost control and claim correspondence
  
• Provide guidance to departments on how to approach the development of new projects
  
• Cost estimating scheduling and tracking for projects
  
• Assume responsibility for coordination of resources and materials and for project procurement activities
  
• Prepare job cost reports and status reports
  

Requirements

• Master s degree or Bachelor s degree in Project Management Engineering or related field
  
• Minimum of 58 years UAE experience as a project manager or assistant project manager
  
• Extensive experience in delivering and implementing civil and EPC projects.
  
• Industryspecific certificates and licenses may be necessary or preferred depending on industry e.g. PMP
  
• Track record managing multimillion dollar projects
  
• Experience in Master Planning a considerable plus
  
• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to details.
