CNE provides comprehensive IT asset management services for organizations and corporations. In this business line, we provide value-added services including logistics management, equipment refurbishment, data erasure, product re-marketing, sales, revenue sharing and reporting for our clients. We are headquartered in Boston, MA with business operations around the world, including Asia, India, Europe and Latin America.
CNE Direct, Inc. is also engaged in the business of wholesale distribution of technology equipment including computers, computer components and peripherals, networking and telecommunications hardware and other electronic products. We obtain supply on consignment and through direct purchase from end users, large manufacturers (OEM’s) and distributers who find themselves with excess inventory. We re-sell those products to end users, other OEM’s, distributers, resellers and brokers worldwide.

Position Summary: The Operations Supervisor supervises all shift employees, complies with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards, analyzes customer needs and produces weekly and monthly shipping schedule; as well as Company goals and CNE initiatives. Under general direction has responsibility for ensuring that operations requirements are met, appropriate staffing levels are maintained, employee relations are good, and a safe/clean work environment is maintained. Plans, directs, coordinates and controls operations activities in assigned work area to achieve established management goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Oversees and assigns all Operators and Leads daily responsibilities.
  • Achieve operational objectives by implementing strategic plans, identifying and resolving problems, measuring and auditing quality standards, and identifying trends.
  • Accomplish department objectives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, disciplining full time/temporary employees; and initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates CNE Core Values in day to day activities.
  • Provide daily manpower/machine requirements for each area to support schedule.
  • Establish daily priorities and review with team members.
  • Monitor and document manpower and equipment levels for future schedule coverage and document methods to alleviate bottlenecks.
  • Monitor and document daily attendance, tardiness, efficiency etc.
  • Review tardiness/attendance daily and resolve all chronic issues.
  • Develop/implement cross training plan for each area.
  • Review/document cross training progress monthly.
  • Request additional manpower/equipment, fixtures, tools etc. to meet production requirements
  • Conducts fair and consistent quarterly and annual employee performance appraisals through the CNE Performance Appraisal Process.
  • Address performance, behavior or conduct issues utilizing the progressive disciplinary action process and provide proper follow up documentation to HR.
  • Accountable for continuous improvement of accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing an inventory control system, identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective actions to guard against future inconsistencies.
  • Maintain and improve operational systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, maintaining and evaluating policies and procedures for shipping, and receiving product, and maximizing equipment/manpower utilization
  • Responsible for all safety and security training of the assigned operations staff.
  • Initiate problem solving and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Create, document, and maintain work-flow models for various warehouse locations.
  • Field product and process questions from all teams and coordinate interaction with necessary departments.
  • Oversee documentation and maintenance of rework policies and procedures.
  • Uphold all ISO, OSHA and R2 standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Assumes daily responsibilities of Operator and Lead roles as needed.
  • Provides backup and support to all staff as needed to ensure operational excellence.
  • Perform other project management functions as assigned by Management.
Qualifications and Work Experience: Your background and qualifications can be varied, but most important is that you have a drive that exceeds the average and you seek to make a difference.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to handle confidential communication.
  • Open and honest communication.
  • Excellent planning skills and ability to multitask.
  • Developed and demonstrated ability to track and complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  • An ability to work under pressure and within deadline
  • Motivated by working in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong skills in MS Office.
  • Strong Communication Skills - both oral and written.
Abilities Required:
  • Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to lifting, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs.
  • Must be capable of being trained to operate a forklift and pay loader.
  • Must be able to lift 55-pound boxes
  • Must be able to work in an environment with dust exposure and fluctuating temperatures.
  • Must be able to wear required ESD clothing and accessories if/when applicable.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-passed environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
