Job Description
TPF Recruitment is representing a highly reputable firm of chartered accountants who are based in Medway and currently looking for an Assistant Accountant/ Semi Senior Accountant to join their team. This can be an office based or hybrid working position, and our client is equally flexible about the remit of the position. You can either work in a statutory accounts focused position, or you can choose to work in a mixed accounts and audit position.
Our client has seen their impressive portfolio continue to grow and theyre now looking for an Assistant accountant / Semi Senior Accountant with accountancy practice experience to join their team. This role will offer full study support and has excellent scope for progression.
Flexible on whether the candidate wants to work in a financial reporting or audit capacity, as a guide, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of accounts and tax retunes for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Supporting with audit planning, fieldwork, and reviews.
- Processing transactions using cloud-based accounting software, including maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers, nominal ledgers and processing all bank transactions. To include reconciling all balance sheet accounts
- Preparation and review of corporate tax and VAT returns
- Taking a pro-active approach with clients to ensure the firm is providing support in all relevant areas.
Requirements
- You may be any of AAT qualified, and / or, studying / part qualified ACA or ACCA, as a Semi Senior / Senior Accountant and you will have a background in accountancy practice, having gained experience developed within an accountancy practice background over the last two to three years or considerably more.
- Your experience will have been developed across any of accounts, tax and/or audit, within any of small, medium or large firm independent firm environment/Top 50, or Top Tier firm background.
- You will be looking to further your career and looking to broaden your technical skills and exposure to new areas within a leading firm of accountants with full support on offer to further your studies and progress in your career.
Benefits
- 25,000 - 33,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
- study support for AAT, or ACA/ACCA
