- Full awareness and ability to implement the Planned preventative maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) & Breakdown Maintenance (BD)
- Handle and service/test/Repair fire Sprinkler Systems and associated ZCV, Alarm Check, & other valves
- Handle and service/test/Repair Fire Pumps, Electrical, Diesel, Jockey and associated Valves, & Fire Pump controllers.
- Handle and service/test/Repair Pre-Action Systems & Deluge Systems (with associated Control Panel, Detectors, Compressor ..etc.)
- Handle and service/test/Repair Fire Gas Suppression Systems (FM 200, Argon, Inergen ..Etc.) with associated Control Panel, Detectors, …etc
- Handle and service/test/Repair Kitchen Wet Chemical Suppression Systems
- Handle and service/test/Repair Fire Hose reel, Fire Hose Rack, Standpipes, Fire Dept connections.
- Handle and service/test/Repair Foam Extinguishing Systems & related components, Monitors, Tanks, pumps etc.
- Handle and service/test/Repair Fire Hydrants and associated Pipes & valves
- Ability to conform to all general and technical safety requirements always to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work.
- Any other work as assigned by the supervisor / duty engineer to achieve the purpose.
- Can read interpret and describe the functionality of pipework schematics and system layout drawings.
- Can correctly setup and use all related test equipment and interpret the test results.
- Knowledge in the use & interpretation of NFPA, UAEFC, DCD codes, Standards and Regulations
Requirements
Minimum Technical Skills: Ability to perform safely and correctly the following tasks on complex Fire Fighting Systems, equipment, and pipework systems:
1- Educational Certificate; preferably a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2- Good Manners of English (both written and spoken)
3- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field of Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Systems
