Job Description
Our client a leading provider of turnkey foundation engineering solutions is looking for an Environmental Manager to join their team and help them ensure that their operations are environmentally sound and compliant. The Environmental Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing the client s environmental management system (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards
- Conducting and overseeing environmental assessments audits and inspections for the client s projects and operations ensuring compliance with applicable laws regulations and permits
- Identifying and managing environmental risks and opportunities and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Preparing and submitting environmental reports and documentation to internal and external parties such as clients authorities and consultants
- Providing technical guidance and support on environmental issues and best practices to the client s project teams and subcontractors
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor s degree or higher in environmental science engineering management or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in environmental management preferably in the construction or engineering sector
- Excellent knowledge of environmental laws regulations and standards in the UAE and internationally
- Strong analytical communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high attention to detail and quality
