Welder 6G

Welder 6G (locally available candidates only)

Job Purpose

To have the ability to read engineering drawings and carry out the fabrication of various types/materials and modules, as well as structures to pipe work. A good understanding of welding procedures and the ability to use flame cutting equipment is essential.

Duties:

Liaise with the Works Engineer

Ensure equipment is Maintained in line with procedures.

Fabrication and assembly to be completed in line with issued drawings

Repairs to be completed in line with equipment being maintained

Ensure welding is undertaken in line with recognized standards.

Mark up drawings as required where changes are identified

Log information on job Cards in line with Job card Procedure

Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.

HSEQ ensure maintenance requirements are fully understood by:

Following all HSE procedures

Addressing any concerns and taking appropriate actions in conjunction with procedures

Attending monthly safety meetings with HSEQ personnel

Out of Hours Maintenance/ Support Assistance:

Provide back-up assistance to other Maintenance personnel as required.

Offshore/Oversees supporting offshore operations:

Travelling between operational sites to check & repair equipment as required.

Be prepared to undertake medicals, vaccinations and training as required for offshore travel.

Requirements

Qualification(s) & Training (E Essential / P Preferred):

Vocational Qualification Level 3-4, equivalent technical qualification in a weldingdiscipline, or secondary qualification with equivalent technical experience of overall 5 years in related field(E)

6G Welding Coding or Certificate (E)

SMAW Welding (E)

GTAW Welding (P)

MIG Welding (P)

3G Coding (P)

Basic Offshore Survival Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) (P)

Minimum Industry Safety Trainings MIST (P)

Experience(s) (E Essential / P Preferred):

Minimum 3 or more years of work experience in relevant field. (E)

Working within the oil & gas or energy industries (E)

Fabricating various types of materials (E)

Welding to known pre-determined standards (E)

Working with Plasma, Oxy-Acetylene, Bandsaws and Grinders (E)

Ability to work well with staff at all Nationalities and levels (E)

Working with heavy plant machinery/materials (P)

Experience in Welding and Fabricating to DNV standards (P)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies (E Essential / P Preferred):

Good communication and interpretation skills in English (verbal and written) (E)

Benefits

• Salary - AED. 3,500/- per month
  
• Day rate AED. 50/- per day
  
• Rotation 60/30 with rotational off-air ticket to home country
