Job Description
MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
- Technical Diploma (Mechanical Engineering)
- Aviation Experience is required
- Should have valid UAE Driving license preferably Manual
JOB PURPOSE
To carry out scheduled preventive maintenance program and any assigned Mechanical breakdown maintenance on both static and mobile mechanical systems; including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, equipment and installations at all Aviation Fuel Depots as per Aviation/JIG standards and manufacturers recommendations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
Carries out routine preventive maintenance of static and mobile equipment including Aviation Fueling systems, Pumps, Compressors, Generators, Meter Calibrations at airport depots, all mechanical instruments, piping, mechanical valves, as assigned per monthly schedules and according to company procedures, and records in accordance with laid down procedures.
Carries out all mechanical modification work as directed by his supervisors, and as per standards of work and safety without direct supervision.
Carries out routine maintenance and repairing of automobile units.
Tests mechanical systems, equipment and installations after repair for satisfactory operations.
Traces out and rectifies faults by following the mechanical diagrams and equipment drawings/manuals.
Ensures all safety precautions are taken before and during execution of mechanical works. Maintains all safety equipment.
Visits all airports depots and carries out periodic checks on all mobile and static systems, equipment and installations. Reports and attends faults, carries out any necessary repair and maintenance works, and records accordingly on standards forms.
Prepares store requisitions as per catalogues, part list, etc.
Maintaining maintenance documents/checklists for scheduled tasks as per company requirements
Attends all assigned breakdowns promptly, carries out necessary repair works and ensures that equipment is returned to service as soon as possible.
Ensures the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous area (safety checks).
Works in 24X7 Shift Cycle as required.
