Scope of Work BI Tourism Research/Data Analyst
One year renewable contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute in the production of periodical statistical reports including drafting key insights derived from the data analysis.
- Contribute in the production of ad-hoc tourism research studies using both internal and external data sources to deliver comprehensive reports that support/enable enhanced decision-making by the management team.
- Conduct analysis of hotel data to ensure data is accurate and complete prior to reporting.
- Ensure external datafiles (used across various statistical reports) are updated on timely manner.
- Conduct research on inbound tourism markets and analyze trends in global tourism to identify new and high yield markets.
- Prepare research information across both international and domestic markets by bench marking reports and highlighting key trends.
- Contribute to the development of tourism-focused research agenda and coordinate with the sector to identify research priorities and needs.
- Promote data for strategic analysis across tourism sector, while ensuring a high level of data quality and accessibility.
- Ensure the compilation and utilization of relevant studies and benchmarks to develop evidence and fact-based recommendations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Requirement:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration/ Finance/Economics/Public Policy or equivalent.
- Preferably, someone proficient in numerical analysis and able to work with large and diverse data sets.
- Previous tourism/hospitality experience a must.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Excellent written skills Arabic speaker a plus.
