Sports Buyer

Responsibilities:
• Place orders and ensure the merchandise is delivered on a timely basis, and in line with the service level agreements in order to ensure compliance with buying plans.
• Determine buying requirements in order to formulate buying plans for the assigned department/category, considering customer profiles/product trends and historic trading.
• Work closely with planning to maximize performance within product type as well as territory. Understand and respond to territory trends/requirements.
• Manage all design and development activities within the budget and in line with market demands as well as company image, in order to meet the business strategy.
• Manage the sourcing and negotiations for the concept in order to maintain a suitable supplier base. Work with Head of Buying to ensure supplier strategy is followed.
• Manage centralized bulk buying, margins, markdowns etc. as well as select vendor mix in order to optimize costs. Achieve intake margin trough cost controls and optimization without impacting quality.
