Job Summary:
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all taxrelated matters within the organization ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws VAT regulations corporate taxation and international tax frameworks. The role includes tax planning risk management tax reporting and liaising with tax authorities to optimize the companys tax position while ensuring full compliance with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT returns corporate tax returns and any other taxrelated filings.
- Monitor changes in UAE tax laws including VAT corporate tax and international tax regulations ensuring compliance with updated tax policies.
- Prepare and submit tax reports as required by the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and other regulatory bodies.
- Maintain proper tax records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.
Tax Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and implement taxefficient strategies to optimize the companys tax position.
- Assess the impact of new tax regulations and recommend appropriate measures.
- Provide tax advice on real estate transactions acquisitions leasing and financing activities.
- Assist in structuring real estate projects to maximize tax benefits while ensuring compliance.
Risk Management & Tax Audits:
- Manage tax audits and disputes ensuring effective communication with tax authorities.
- Conduct regular internal tax reviews to identify risks and ensure compliance.
- Address and resolve tax inquiries disputes or assessments by tax authorities.
- Implement internal controls to minimize tax risks and penalties.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with external auditors tax consultants and legal advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Collaborate with internal departments including finance legal and operations to align tax strategies with business objectives.
- Provide tax training and awareness sessions for relevant teams within the organization.
International Tax & Transfer Pricing:
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and maintain required documentation.
- Assess tax implications for crossborder transactions and international real estate investments.
- Monitor developments in global tax regulations including OECD guidelines and double taxation treaties.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA CA ACCA or CTA is a plus.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in tax management preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
- Indepth knowledge of UAE VAT laws corporate taxation and international tax frameworks.
- Experience in dealing with tax authorities and handling audits.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and tax compliance software.
