A Database Administrator directs and performs all activities related to maintaining a successful database environment.
Qualifications
- 1 or 2 years of experience in DBA roles or related
- Knowledge of SQL server

Responsibilities
- Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the database is up and running at all times
- Working with database software to store, organize, and manage data
- Pre-implementing tasks such as feasibility study, capacity planning, installation, and implementation activities
- Configuration, designing, and developing database models
- Migrating existing data from legacy platforms, designing and implementing backup and restore strategies, keeping databases up to date, and troubleshooting
- Managing database access and ensuring that databases meet user requirements
- Implementing security procedures
- Testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably
- Writing disaster recovery plans and archiving data
- Providing user training, support, and feedback
- Writing reports, documentation, and operating manuals
- Any other DBA activity not specified in the list below, but related to database administration
