Job Overview:
Scaffolding Estimator in the Oil and Gas industry primary responsibility will be to assess analyze and estimate the cost of scaffolding projects for various oil and gas facilities. Need to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety efficiency and costeffectiveness of scaffolding installations supporting the overall success of construction and maintenance projects within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Evaluation:
Evaluate project requirements specifications and drawings to understand the scope of scaffolding work.
Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to gather relevant information.
Cost Estimation:
Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for scaffolding projects considering material costs labor equipment and overhead expenses.
Utilize industrystandard estimating software and tools to ensure precision.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on safety regulations industry standards and codes related to scaffolding in the oil and gas sector.
Ensure that all estimates comply with relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
Vendor and Material Management:
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for scaffolding materials and services.
Maintain a database of reliable and costeffective suppliers for quick and accurate procurement.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks and challenges associated with scaffolding projects.
Propose mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure successful project execution.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with internal teams clients and subcontractors to clarify project requirements and address any inquiries.
Provide detailed and transparent explanations of cost estimates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 35 years of experience in scaffolding estimation preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Proven track record of successfully estimating and managing scaffolding projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in using scaffolding estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations.
Knowledge of industryspecific scaffolding techniques materials and safety standards.
Certifications:
Certification in scaffolding safety and relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.
Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
