- Brunel International is looking for an experienced Drilling Fluids Engineer / Mud Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing drilling fluid engineering services and overseeing the operations of both offshore and onshore wells.
- The Drilling Fluids Engineer / Mud Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, while also providing technical advice on drilling fluid systems and mud programs;
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring mud parameters, analyzing data, and preparing reports;
- The Mud Engineer will work on a rotation of one month onsite and one month offsite, with the project duration being 6 months with the possibility of renewal.
- Minimum educational degree in engineering / technology / graduate in science with chemistry one of the subject;
- Minimum experience of ten (10) years for providing drilling fluid engineering services including drilling of at least five (5) oil & gas wells with measured depth above 16,000 ft and / or mud weight 18 ppg & above;
- BOSIET & H2S certification required for offshore position; H2S certification required for onshore position;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English language;
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Flexibility to travel as needed for job duties;
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
- Knowledgeable in relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
