The Role

The Conference Producer is responsible for researching, programming and producing content for assigned events, this includes facilitating both pre-show and at-event content. The role will support the event by researching relevant programme topics for conference aligned to the event sector. This will involve reaching out to speakers to ensure the programme topics meet the needs of our various audiences and ensuring delivery of these features at the event goes according to plan. In addition, you will be helping to produce industry-related content collateral to inform our audiences about our content programmes. Writing skills are important for this part of the role and the ability to conduct interviews and to write copy for the event websites are necessary. The role is an excellent opportunity for someone with entry-level experience in conference and content production.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

Conference Production

  • Research and write high quality conference programmes through liaising with key industry professionals, institutions and organisations.
  • Acquire high-level industry speakers, and ensure delivery at the event.
  • Produce content collateral such as interviews for marketing to use in visitor and exhibitor campaigns for flagship events.
  • Ensure the speaker database is updated in order to provide current and accurate speaker lists.
  • Conduct a post-show analysis of the event including job title analysis

Market Research and Industry Networks

  • Support the event team by conducting surveys and in-depth phone-based research and analysis of key subject areas for content development.
  • Effectively research topics with relevant industry professionals and the target market.
  • Develop new conference ideas and programme content through meetings and tele-research with key experts.
  • Collaborate with the Event Director(s) and other team members to generate ideas for enhancing the conference portfolio, ideally recommending at least 2 new conference tracks per event per year.
  • Identify key opinion leaders/institutions and companies related to the event.
