Job Description:

Our prestigious IB school in Muscat Oman is seeking a passionate and experienced IB Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highquality instruction in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme Chemistry curriculum to students aged 1619. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IB standards and pedagogy coupled with a commitment to fostering a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the IB Chemistry curriculum ensuring differentiation to meet the needs of diverse learners.
2. Utilize various instructional strategies resources and technologies to enhance student understanding and mastery of key concepts in chemistry.
3. Foster critical thinking inquiry and analytical skills through handson experiments laboratory work and realworld applications.
4. Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments providing timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress grades and attendance in compliance with school policies and procedures.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary connections and promote a cohesive educational experience for students.
7. Actively participate in departmental meetings professional development opportunities and schoolwide initiatives to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school community.
8. Communicate effectively with students parents and colleagues to support academic progress address concerns and celebrate achievements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Chemistry Education or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
2. Teaching certification/license preferably with experience in IB Chemistry or a similar international curriculum.
3. Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the high school level with a track record of student achievement and engagement.
4. Deep knowledge of IB Chemistry standards assessment practices and approaches to teaching and learning.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
6. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English.
7. Flexibility adaptability and a growth mindset to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
