Job Summary:
The incumbent as the Buyer for GMG is responsible for managing the procurement and selection of products for the Everyday Goods division by leading the suppliers relationship negotiations and aligning both category teams and suppliers. The incumbent will leverage market trends and data to make buying decisions that align with GMGs goals ensuring that the divisions promotional activities and offers remain competitive and appealing to customers.
Job Responsibilities:
Developing and Implementing strategic product selection and sourcing strategies that align with GMGs business goals and customer preferences.
Conducting market research to identify trends negotiating terms with suppliers and managing vendor relationships to secure quality products cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Monitors purchasing data and sales trends to manage inventory levels and make recommendations for product assortment and pricing adjustments based on customer demand.
Collaborates with Marketing Logistics and Finance teams to ensure alignment on promotional activities budget adherence and efficient supply chain operations.
Ongoing process improvement to maximize profitability maintain compliance with company policies and drive operational efficiency.
