This role ensures employees can use software and hardware to complete their daily tasks with minimal downtime. The IT Support Specialist diagnoses issues implements solutions and maintains optimal system performance to support organizational productivity
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve issues with applications and software.
- Manage Active Directory tasks: user account setup permissions password resets and group policies.
- Network & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain routers switches firewalls and VPNs.
- Oversee server administration (physical/virtual) backups and database management 710.
- System Installation & Configuration
- Deploy and update OS applications and security patches.
- Set up audiovisual systems conference rooms and specialized equipment (e.g. manufacturing plant IT).
- User Training & Documentation
- Train staff on IT best practices new tools and cybersecurity protocols.
- Maintain asset inventories incident logs and solution databases.
- Compliance & Security
- Implement ITIL standards for service management.
- Ensure adherence to UAE data protection regulations and company policies.
Requirements
Essential:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
- Experience: 2 years in IT support roles; proficiency in Windows OS Microsoft 365 and basic networking (TCP/IP DNS).
- Technical Certifications: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) CompTIA A or Cisco CCNA.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional customer service problem-solving agility and fluency in English.
Preferred:
- Arabic language proficiency.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Jira Trello).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NESA ISO 27001).
