General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring all aspects of the project to ensure compliance with approved and proper standards.
- Liaising with the other Inspectors and Project Engineers to provide support and guidance as required.
- Liaising with other Inspectors to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any structural/civil components or systems.
- Inspection of works relative to their portion of the project.
- Conduct a patrol site visit to ensure fully compliance with QHSE requirements.
- Coordination with the Contractors Q/C personnel.
- Assist in expediting of NOCs if they appear to be stalled or in delay.
- Full understanding of SORs & NCRs protocol and monitoring both of corrective actions and Preventive actions by Contractors.
- Expedition of approvals from the Inspection Teams if it appears to be stalled or delaying the project.
- Conduct a periodical off-site visit as needed to follow up on production activities and ensure material delivery to site on time.
- Maintain registers of all submittals and testing both on-site and off-site.
- Maintain full site records including daily site diaries in an approved format and formal monthly progress photography.
- Provide reports on the progress of the works.
- Prepare reports related to administration and control associated with the quality of the performed works.
- May focus on specialised trade or area.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Policies Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:
- BSc degree in Engineering or a relevant degree.
- 10 years related experience within Marine & structural building projects (low rise)
- Should have experience in pre-cast concrete work.
- Should have experience in Marine pile work.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer systems and their applications.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Process-driven and must be able to organize themselves and others.
- Understanding the urgency in the workplace and adhere to deadlines set.
