Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance Specialist to support our dynamic petroleum trading operations in Dubai. This pivotal role focuses on managing trade finance instruments including Letters of Credit (LCs) Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs) bank guarantees and other related instruments while collaborating closely with financial institutions suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely compliant and costeffective execution of international petroleum trade transactions.
Structure and process trade finance instruments including LCs SBLCs Documentary Collections Bank Guarantees and Trust Receipts.
Review negotiate and finalize LC terms with suppliers buyers and banks in line with trade agreements.
Open amend and settle LCs and related instruments per UCP600 ISBP and URC guidelines.
Monitor trade transaction timelines manage risks and proactively resolve documentation or settlement delays.
Liaise with trading operations and legal teams to validate trade documentation (invoices B/Ls inspection certificates etc.).
Ensure full compliance with finance policies legal frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Support treasury operations in optimizing working capital through trade finance tools.
Maintain accurate records of transactions charges and exposures.
Assist in periodic reporting of facility utilization liquidity and trade finance exposure.
Build and manage strong relationships with local and international banking partners.
Stay up to date on KYC AML and trade compliance requirements in crossborder trade.
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or related field; MBA or trade finance certification is a plus.
47 years of handson experience in trade finance must be within oil & gas energy or commodities trading.
Indepth knowledge of UCP600 ISBP URC and Incoterms.
Familiarity with petroleum shipping practices and trade documentation is highly preferred.
Proven experience in working crossfunctionally with trading operations legal and external banking counterparts.
Meticulous highly organized and capable of managing multiple transactions under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Excel ERP systems (CTRM or equivalent) and digital trade finance platforms.
Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
Exposure to international petroleum and energy trading markets.
