Job Description

Job Summary:

The HSE Trainer & Safety Officer is responsible for developing and delivering health safety and environmental training programs while ensuring that workplace safety standards are effectively implemented and maintained.

This dual role ensures not only that employees are trained on safety best practices but also that those practices are actively enforced and monitored onsite.

Responsibilities / Authorities:

Training & Development:

  • Develop and conduct HSE training programs including induction toolbox talks emergency drills and refresher sessions.
  • Ensure training materials comply with current laws regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain training records and generate reports for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Assess training needs and effectiveness through evaluation tools and field feedback.
  • Support the development of elearning or blended learning HSE content.

Safety Compliance & Supervision:

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and procedures.
  • Monitor and enforce the use of PPE and safe work practices.
  • Participate in and support accident and incident investigations ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Perform risk assessments.
  • Maintain uptodate records on incidents inspections and compliance status.
  • Coordinate with supervisors engineers and contractors to address safety concerns manuals guidelines and standard operating procedures specific to construction activities.

Qualifications :

    • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Engineering or related field.
    • NEBOSH OSHA IOSH or equivalent is required.


Additional Information :

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 0305 years of overall experience in handling construction or Oil & Gas Projects

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment policies procedures and strategies to promote effective local state or national security operations for the protection of people data property.

  • Ability to lead HSE process and guide them in the implementation stage for HSE Process.

Skills & Professional Requirements:

    • Excellent English spoken and written skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
    • Indepth knowledge of HSE laws regulations and best practices.
    • Proficient in safety audits inspections and report writing.
    • Ability to influence safe behavior and build a strong safety culture.
    • Familiarity with HSE software and training systems is a plus
