AtkinsRalis is seeking a highly experienced and qualified HSE (Health Safety and Environment) Engineer to join our team for a building construction project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management extensive experience in the construction industry and a proven track record of ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and monitor HSE policies procedures and guidelines for the construction project.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Provide HSE training to site staff and contractors to promote awareness and best practices in safety.
- Investigate accidents incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project management and subcontractors to resolve HSE issues and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE performance including incident reports inspections and training documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in HSE meetings risk assessments and emergency response drills as required.
- Keep abreast of industry trends developments and best practices in HSE management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 Plus years of experience in HSE management with at least 5 years in UAE.
- Level 6 diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) or equivalent.
- Good proficiency in DM and ADOSH (Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System Framework).
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.
- Strong personality with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in building and Infra construction projects is essential.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
- Must be currently residing in the UAE and available for facetoface client interviews.
