Job Purpose

The Program Commissioning Manager will monitor track and record the contractors testing and commissioning requirements for the Project including all electrical and water transmission elements.

This is a PMC role which entails overseeing multiple Supervision Consultants and EPCs from project inception to completion ensuring that all statutory legislative and specification testing activities are conducted efficiently on schedule while meeting the highest safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring and recording the Contractors commissioning activities (including all tests trials utility consumption guarantees monitoring steady state operations and the like).
  • Development and implementation of the Program Testing and Commissioning Management Plan
  • Oversight of completion and handover of the Works including system punch listing compilation of all inspection and test record documentation.
  • Manages the final compilation and approval of operation and maintenance manuals asbuilt drawings and final job reports.
  • Attend T&C meetings and manage the flow of information from the field and Site Supervision Consultants to the office and vice versa as required.
  • Lead the planning and successful T&C phase of the TRANSCONEXUS Project ensuring alignment with project objectives goals timelines
  • Enhance collaboration and coordination among project stakeholders including clients supervision consultants contractors vendors and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive project close out plan
  • Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project health.
  • Prepare and deliver regular T&C progress reports to senior management highlighting key milestones risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams mentoring junior engineers and professionals.
  • Coordinate and oversee the production of the project commissioning and energization plan for Project Nexus oversee the commissioning and energization phase.
  • Facilitate effective risk management processes to identify record analyze and mitigate project risks.
  • Foster client relationships and engage in proactive communication to address issues and enhance client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience managing EPC projects with a focus on power and water transmission construction.
  • Demonstrated experience as PMC / supervision consultant or EPC on similar complex projects.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering principles particularly related to power and water transmission and distribution.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • Familiarity with industry standards regulations and best practices related to power and water transmission and distribution.

Soft Skills

  • Outstanding leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and manage crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
  • Ability to work under pressure prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach to conflict resolution and risk management.
