Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
To provide DJ and related service in W Lounge SoBe WETDECK or or any designated venue in the Hotel if required by W Dubai The Palm.
Be present at all W Happenings andWOOBAR events as requested by the Artistic Director on a voluntary basis to profile yourself.
Build latenight crowd and bring target revenue.
Create buzz via social media / blogging and increase Dubai fan base.
Connect with the Disruptors and influencers to bring business into the W Dubai The Palm.
Excellent networking and communications skills
Excellent and indepth knowledge of the local music scene
Connections and strong network with local tastemakers in the music community
Expert in communicating through all relevant social media mediums including Facebook Instagram and Twitter and have substantial following
Must be able to DJ
Versatile background and experience that extend beyond DJing (e.g. entertainment PR marketing)
Excellent talent negotiation skills and experience
Past experience in eventplanning and promotions
Music Producer/Production experience preferred
A genuine personal interest in lifestyle events and information that is close to Ws core values and brand positioning (beyond solely music)
Excellent interpersonal and problem resolution skills with an outgoing personality and ability to work as part of a team
Excellent communication and organization skills ability to handle multiple tasks at once and followup whenever needed
Good computer skills preferably including but not limited to Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint (Photoshop/InDesign a plus)Basic English
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals desirable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
