Lead the estimation process for lighting scopes in energy retrofit and ESCO projects from conceptual design through final proposal
Analyze project documents site audits and RFPs to determine lighting and controls retrofit opportunities and costs.
Work collaboratively with energy engineers project developers and sales teams to develop comprehensive proposals Energy Savings Calculations Lighting Design and Bids Submissions
Perform lighting audits (onsite or remotely) and create detailed takeoffs using lighting design
Evaluate energy savings potential and assist with ROI and payback calculations based on existing vs proposed systems Perform the Product Selections for resp ECMs (Not limited to LED Lighting).
Visit the New Construction Sites and Existing Buildings (Under Retrofit Program) and access the Lighting requirements
Source and price lighting fixtures controls and associated materials by working with manufacturers and vendors.
Ensure estimates are aligned with project goals timelines and ESCO financial modeling requirements.
Stay current with utility rebate programs energy codes (ASHRAE IECC) and industry best practices.
Train and mentor junior estimators or interns as the team grows.
Support transition from preconstruction to project working with project managers as needed.
Prepare and submit the Material Submittals Lighting Calculations Drawings
Assist the M&V Team for Lux and power reports
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor s degree in Engineering Construction Management Electrical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 5 years of experience in lighting estimation preferably within ESCO performance contracting or energy retrofit markets.
3. Strong knowledge of commercial lighting systems controls and retrofit applications.
4. Familiarity with lighting design software Excelbased estimation tools and ERP/CRM systems.
5. Understanding of IES lighting standards Title 24 ASHRAE 90.1 and relevant energy codes.
6. CMVP CEM & CEA will be preferred
