Roles and responsibilities
1. Attention to Detail
- Precision is crucial when handling tax forms, filings, and financial records to ensure there are no errors or omissions.
- Reviewing tax documents and receipts to ensure they are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations.
2. Organizational Skills
- Organizing and maintaining tax records, including invoices, receipts, tax returns, and other documentation for easy retrieval during audits or filings.
- Managing tax-related calendars and deadlines to ensure timely submissions and payments.
- Creating filing systems (digital or physical) for proper document storage and retrieval.
3. Understanding of Tax Laws and Regulations
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal tax regulations and filing requirements (such as VAT, sales tax, corporate income tax, etc.).
- Staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Communication Skills
- Communicating effectively with internal teams, clients, and tax authorities to provide or gather necessary tax information.
- Assisting in answering inquiries related to tax issues or filings.
- Helping prepare correspondence to clients regarding tax deadlines, forms, or refunds.
5. Knowledge of Accounting Software and Tools
- Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, TaxSlayer, or H&R Block) for organizing and submitting tax returns.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for tracking tax records, payments, and deductions.
6. Record Keeping and Documentation
- Maintaining thorough records of tax payments, filings, and other relevant documents to ensure they are readily available for audits or reviews.
- Ensuring that all tax documentation is up to date, including receipts and expense records.
7. Time Management
- Managing multiple deadlines, especially during tax season, and ensuring all filings are completed on time.
- Prioritizing tasks such as organizing documentation, preparing reports, and meeting tax deadlines.
8. Basic Financial Knowledge
- Understanding basic financial and accounting concepts, including income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents used for tax preparation.
- Familiarity with financial terminology to assist in processing tax filings and reports.

- Support the tax team in the preparation, review and filing the tax returns of talabat group.
- Support the tax team in reviewing tax relevant documentation and records to ensure they are compliant with the relevant tax legislations.
- Support the tax team in conducting different tax analysis to ensure the talabat group is compliant with any new tax legislations.

- Must hold a UAE passport and family book
- A finance, tax, accounting or business degree is preferred
- Familiarity with basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and time management skills
