Roles and responsibilities
Design Assistance: Help create visual content for a variety of projects, from social media graphics to marketing materials, digital assets, and presentations. Support the design team in maintaining consistency with talabat’s brand guidelines across all platforms. Participate in brainstorming sessions to bring fresh, creative ideas to the table.
Administrative Support: Assist the Director and Senior Creative Manager with organising meetings, managing schedules, and coordinating team activities. Help with tracking project timelines, updating design assets, and ensuring that the team stays on top of deadlines. Prepare presentations, documents, and reports as needed, ensuring they are visually polished and aligned with brand standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with other designers, product team, marketers, and stakeholders to help translate ideas into engaging visual content. Provide support during team meetings and creative review sessions.
Learning & Growth: Stay updated on design trends and tools to continuously develop your skills. Gain experience in using design software like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and others, while also learning about the principles of branding, typography, and layout. Have the opportunity to learn about motion design and contribute to simple animations for digital platforms.
What you need to be successful
- A curiosity and love for design and creativity, with a huge desire to grow and learn in the field.
- Basic knowledge of design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma (experience with motion design is a plus but not required).
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, especially when supporting senior team members with administrative tasks.
- Strong communication skills, with an openness to feedback and a desire to improve.
- A collaborative mindset and a proactive attitude toward learning and helping out where needed.

Desired candidate profile
1. Project Management
- Overseeing the flow of design projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinating between designers, clients, and other teams to ensure alignment on objectives and timelines.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com) to track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables.
2. Communication Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication for interacting with designers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly convey project requirements, feedback, and revisions.
- Communicating project status updates effectively to team members and leadership.
3. Creative Collaboration
- Collaborating with graphic designers to ensure creative concepts align with client needs and brand guidelines.
- Reviewing design drafts and providing constructive feedback while respecting the creative direction.
- Ability to bring together different creative styles and concepts to meet specific project goals.
4. Attention to Detail
- Ensuring that all design assets are aligned with brand guidelines and project requirements.
- Reviewing work for accuracy, quality, and consistency before delivering to clients or stakeholders.
- Proofreading and checking for any errors in design elements, text, and overall composition.
5. Time Management
- Efficiently managing multiple design projects simultaneously.

6. Technical Skills in Design Software
- Familiarity with industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and others like Sketch or Figma.
- Understanding file formats and how to prepare files for various outputs (web, print, social media, etc.).
- Knowledge of design principles like color theory, typography, and layout.

- Addressing design-related challenges, whether technical (e.g., resizing or optimizing files) or creative (e.g., redesigning a concept to meet client feedback).

- Acting as a point of contact between clients or internal stakeholders and the design team.
- Gathering feedback from clients, ensuring it’s actionable, and translating it to the design team.
