We are looking for a Resident Electrical Engineer (HVDC) to be based in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the project scope goals and project deliverables to support the business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop fullscale project plans and associated communications documents. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and monitor project performance.
Role Requirement:
With a Masters or Bachelors degree in engineering preferably in Electric Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
This role requires strong Project Management skills technical expertise with min experience of 15 years and have executed at least one HVDC project independently.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing project plans timelines and budgets for HVDC projects.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Leading project teams and providing direction to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Engage with clients to develop and determine the HVDC systems design parameters
Ensure adherence to and compliance with the clients expectations requirements policies and processes throughout all phases of the project.
Monitoring and controlling project progress identifying and addressing risks and issues as they arise.
Technical coordination of System Design deliveries as well as managing the risks and identifying opportunities to reduce time and cost while ensuring quality requirements are met.
Managing project resources and ensuring they are allocated effectively.
Communicating project status risks and issues to stakeholders including senior management.
Managing Stakeholders interface and expectations
Leading project meetings providing regular updates and facilitating decisionmaking.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations safety standards and industry best practices.
Providing technical expertise and guidance on HVDC project requirements and solutions.
Evaluating project performance identifying lessons learned and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Active participation in Management of Change procedures
Evaluating Design Changes and Concession requests
