Roles and responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of retail tenancies, ensuring smooth coordination with Project Management, Construction, Development, Leasing, and Mall Management.
- Provide technical support to tenants, consultants, and contractors regarding construction and fit-out processes.
- Ensure all tenancy handovers meet mall standards and pre-trade requirements.
- Review and approve contractor profiles, ensuring they meet the required qualifications and experience.
- Conduct site inspections to verify that work aligns with approved drawings and project schedules.
- Coordinate MEP drawings, resolving design conflicts in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage tenancy handover, ensuring compliance with established timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure all retail units are operational by the set opening date.
- Guide tenants through the fit-out process, resolving any issues and enforcing health & safety measures.
- Monitor the timely procurement of materials to meet project deadlines.
- Support the testing, commissioning, and authority approvals of all MEP services.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including tenant design documents, site activities, and regulatory approvals.
- Prepare and share weekly fit-out progress reports with Retail Property Management and Leasing teams.
- Manage work permits, insurance policies, and final sign-off documentation for completed projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, guiding them through the fit-out process.
- Collaborate with landlords, consultants, contractors, architects, and government authorities to ensure compliance and smooth project execution.
- Work closely with mall operations teams to coordinate construction activities with minimal disruption to retail operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to prevent disputes, cost overruns, or project delays.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or MEP
- 2-4 years of experience in retail delivery (preferably in shopping malls or large retail developments)
- Strong understanding of design, construction, and MEP processes in retail environments
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to review construction documents, design criteria, and technical drawings
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- UAE driving license (mandatory)
