Job Description
We seek an experienced and highly skilled Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our construction management team you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial management and quantity surveying for infrastructure maintenance projects ensuring costeffectiveness and contractual compliance.
- Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors providing guidance and mentorship
- Develop and implement cost control strategies to maximize project profitability
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates budgets and financial reports
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients contractors and suppliers
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential cost overruns
- Oversee the procurement process including tender preparation and evaluation
- Provide expert advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Stay updated on industry trends local regulations and best practices in quantity surveying
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or related field
- Professional certification from a recognized institution (e.g. RICS AACE)
- Minimum 810 years of experience in quantity surveying with a proven track record in managing largescale construction projects
- Experience in the Middle East construction market preferred
- Advanced knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices
- Expertise in cost estimation budgeting and financial analysis
- Strong contract management and procurement skills
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g. CostX Buildsoft) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Indepth knowledge of construction industry standards and practices
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage and mentor a team of professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
