Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer (MEP) is responsible for designing implementing and overseeing mechanical systems including HVAC plumbing and firefighting systems in construction projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with design specifications industry standards and project timelines.
Design & Engineering:
- Design and develop HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems based on project specifications.
- Prepare MEP shop drawings load calculations and technical submittal.
- Perform thermal fluid flow and ventilation calculations.
- Review and approve MEP designs specifications and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
Project Coordination & Execution:
- Coordinate with architects civil engineers and electrical engineers for project integration.
- Work closely with contractors suppliers and vendors to ensure timely project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control to ensure MEP installations meet project standards.
Testing & Commissioning:
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.
- Ensure MEP systems are energyefficient and sustainable.
