Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and diligent Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment by implementing and monitoring safety protocols conducting regular inspections and training employees on health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents and incidents prepare reports and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees including first aid fire safety and equipment handling.
- Ensure all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and PPE is in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections incidents and training sessions.
- Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety awareness.
- Ensure compliance with UAE safety and labor laws as well as industryspecific regulations.
- Prepare risk assessments and assist in the development of emergency response plans.
- Monitor and manage waste disposal hazardous materials and environmental concerns.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related field.
- NEBOSH IOSH or other internationally recognized safety certifications.
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of UAE safety laws regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and write detailed reports.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
