We are looking for a friendly and efficient Supermarket Cashier to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will handle customer transactions provide excellent service and ensure the accurate processing of payments. This role requires attention to detail a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash credit card and other forms of payment securely and in compliance with company policies.
- Assist customers with inquiries about products prices and promotions.
- Ensure all items are scanned and billed correctly.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Report any discrepancies errors or issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service addressing customer needs with a positive attitude.
- Assist in bagging groceries and handling customer purchases as needed.
- Support store staff with additional tasks during busy periods such as restocking shelves or organizing displays.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customerfacing role is preferred.
- Basic math and cashhandling skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems or cash registers is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages (e.g. Hindi Urdu Tagalog) is an advantage.
